A couple of resources for the scanner enthusiast

  • Ever wonder where the Radio Shack stores get those "freq sheets" to hand out when people buy scanners? Now you'll know - here's the one I wrote up for the Laramie Radio Shack store in MS Word DOC format and the same thing in ASCII TXT format

  • Here's a Text Listing of the more popular Laramie area frequencies
  • For the more serious enthusiast here's a much more Extensive List of Laramie area frequencies
  • For the serious enthusiast interested in STATEWIDE traffic here's a partial list of Public Safety and Emergency stations
  • Though not as complete as the old Percon database, still a *very* handy listing available at CityFreq.com
  • Lightning Leo's has a listing of Wyoming frequencies by county, for Yellowstone and more
And on the more formalized side Betty Bearcat Club Wyoming Listings

    Casper Freqs
  • A couple of text files with frequency lists for Casper, WY
  • Casper 1
    Casper 2

Also note, that the City of Casper will be installing an 800Mhz "digital" trunked system this summer (2002). Current plans are not to encrypt the signal, but apparently the ability will be there as needed. More info here as I find out 'bout it
