University Amateur Radio Club. UARC meets on the UW campus in Room 2101 of the School of Engineering. Meetings are the first Tuesday or each month at 7:30 pm. Anyone interested in Amateur Radio is invited to attend! On the air, find VHF amateur radio operations between 144 MHz and 148 MHz, including digital communications. This is the freq. used by the Highway Department's Snow Plows. This is by far the BEST source of information for road conditions. However, they use a cryptic '8' and '9' code to describe conditions.
